The Danish company Eagle Design takes great pleasure in introducing our Hans Christian Andersen postcard range, published in connection with the worldwide celebration of Hans Christian Andersens bicentenary. The celebration will take place throughout 2005 and 2006, with various events in the whole world.
The acknowledged artist from Denmark has illustrated the very approved range of cards. Quite sensationally, Marius Guldager is a descendant of the early American painter, Christian Gullager, who in the 18th century sketched the American national symbol, The American Eagle. Her Highness, the Queen Margrethe the 2nd of Denmark, has recently opened and exhibition of Gullager in the US.
As well, the managing director of Eagle Design, the grandsom of Marius Guldager, participated in a Danish business delegation to Japan in April this year together with 10 other Danish(born-creative)companies. The delegation was escorted by His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Her Royal Highness, the Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and the Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Bendt Bendtsen of Denmark. Their Royal Highnesses were both showing great pleasure after they were given a set of the card range; Specially dedicated to them by Marius Guldager.
