RAIL UDYOG established in 1973 with a view to manufacture special type of Railway components, which in those periods were imported. The firm tried to develop Indian substitute of imported spares for Diesel Rail engine components.

During 80s the firm got a break bagging a huge order of New Zealand Railways for supply of Rail Clips, order we also got enlisted with Indian Railway. Recently the unit executed export assignment for coach components with Bangladesh Railway.

We procured cold rolled threading machine to improve the quality of product mainly for Coupler of Meter Gauge Wagon/Coaches. Simultaneously, we moved for approval of electric Loco components in Railway and got approval from Chief Electrical Engineer/Northern Railway/NDLS. In the same time, we also got approval from CMPE(D)/Southern Railway/Chennai for manufacturing and supply of Gear Case Mounting Bolt, a diesel engine component.

On 23rd September 1998 firm celebrated its silver jubilee proving its solid grip in the industry.

The firm is one of the leading supplier of Single Coil Spring Washer in Indian Railways. The firm is now ISO:9001 certified company.

RAIL UDYOG, Howrah is now a regular manufacturer and supplier to Indian Railways for wagon and Diesel engine components& awarded by ISO:9001:2000 certificate.
