The year 1930 has been a milestone in the history of the Turkish Pasta Factory. The second plant has been built in Alsancak with a production rate of 3600 KG daily and a mill processing 7 KG.

The products of the Turkish Pasta Factory have been distributed all over Turkey by 1933 and the brand became widely known in the country.

The brand name "Piyale" has emerged in 1936 as Mr. Hasan Tahsin picked his grandfathers first name as the family's surname. In the years to follow, Piyale has become generic name associated with pasta.
