Chandaria Industries Ltd

Chandaria Industries Ltd. Was founded in 1947, now over five decades ago, by its current Chairman Mr. M. M. Chandaria. It started as a small-scale drinking straw-making unit with the entire operation being run by Mr. Chandaria himself. From these humble beginnings, the company registered solid growth and the then existing operations were subsequently shifted to its current location on Baba Dogo Road, Nairobi in 1974. It now has two paper making machines (complete with de-inking and bleaching facilities) , a converting division and a fully-fledged cotton wool making facility for the manufacture of its wide range of products.

Today the company is the flagship of the Chandaria Group of Companies, which comprises of the following:

1. Guardian Bank Ltd. -Banking, operates five branches in Kenya

2. Madhupaper Kenya Ltd. -Paper manufacturing, Nairobi, Kenya

3. Chandaria Industries Ltd Thika. -Paper manufacturing,

4. Fine Holdings Ltd. -Real Estate development, Nairobi, Kenya

5. P. Garnett and Son-Manufacture of specialty paper, UK

6. Auger Investments Ltd. -Real Estate Development, UK

7. Vista Paper and Chemicals-Manufacture of flexible packaging, India Pvt. Ltd

8. Tanpack Tissues Ltd-Paper manufacturing, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
