Stripwound cores in electrical steels, both cut and uncut, for use in the transformer and associated industries. Manufacturing not only a standard range of C cores but also C cores and Toroidal cores to specific customer specifications.
Since its formation in 1985 the company has maintained an ethos of continual development and an increasing demand for its products necessitated a move of premises to accommodate the required extra capacity. This was at a time when others in the field were down sizing or indeed closing-keeping one step ahead has remained an important policy.
Zou Itani, the managing director has been involved in the industry since 1978 and has built a strong team at Wiltan to serve the varying and individual requirements of customers. The relationships that they build are importantly seen to be ones of partnership rather than the traditional one of customer and supplier. In this way they are able to give a service beyond the customary.
Over the years, to succeed in an increasingly competitive field, the company has always striven to meet the requirements of the current market. They were the first in the field to recognise the need to be adaptable and reactive to customer needs with very short lead times becoming the norm rather than the exception.
Through close discussions with their customers Wiltan has increased their storage facilities in order to offer a Kan Ban stock system. This enabled them to reduce lead times and customer's own stock levels; this service is available to all their customers who feel they would benefit from it. They have also been able to source manufacturers in products, which they themselves do not produce, and can now offer a wide range of ferrites and accessories. In addition, E cores, Mu-metal and 0. 1 material cores are available to customer specification.
