HISTORY
Some 5 minutes drve from the centre of Oudshoorn, nestling in the fertile Elephant River Valley, lies the Production Farm, Brakenskraal, which was suryeyed and proclaimed in 1843.
Farming started at Brakenskraal in 1892, and to this day, i remains its global position as one of the 10 largest, independent producers of Ostrich Products, from the breeding, hatching and rearing of chicks to adulthood, and Market Ready for slaughter-but it does not end here.
We are also the largest independent exporter of crust and tanned ostrich skins in the world.
Some other of our activities at Brakenskraal include the production of Ostrich Leather Products for the local and export market i. E wallets, purses, handbags, belts, solid wood furniture covered with Ostrich Leather.
The most treasured community award was the Ben Gurio 25th year commemorative medallion award from the Ben Gurion University. Other recipients of this award include President Mandela, The Arch-Bishop of Canterbury, Premier Michael Gorbechev, Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Premier Boris Yeltsin and President Francois Mitterand.

We export our 1st Grade ostrich skins all over the world. We have many different colors, grades and sizes available. In addition to our leather skins that we also sell ostrich feathers, eggs and many more products.
